Regional Programs delivers a range of initiatives to promote economic growth and enhance community wellbeing across regional NSW by helping drive employment, improve local amenity, deliver positive outcomes for young people and respond to the emerging needs of regional communities.

Through an informed, innovative and solution-focused approach, Regional Programs works to deliver tailored assistance to support communities and businesses across regional NSW to thrive. This is underpinned by a sector-leading approach to grants administration and governance.

Regional Growth Programs

Regional Growth Programs oversees the delivery of the $2 billion Regional Growth Fund and other programs including the Regional Job Creation Fund, that aim to support growing regional centres, activate local economies and improve community services and infrastructure. Learn more at:

Regional Recovery Programs

Regional Recovery Programs delivers programs and initiatives to support the regions of NSW to recover, rebuild and prosper following the unprecedented  impacts of drought, bushfires, floods and COVID-19. Learn more at:

Grants Management, Evaluation and Reporting

Grant Management, Evaluation and Reporting oversees all grant payments, project monitoring, evaluation and corporate reporting for the programs delivered by the broader Regional Programs team.

Sophisticated systems in contracting, compliance, evaluation and risk management ensure projects and programs are delivered efficiently to benefit regional communities. Since 2019, the team has delivered more than 900 projects across regional NSW.

Office for Regional Youth

The Office for Regional Youth was established within the Department of Regional NSW to provide a coordinated and strategic approach to issues facing young people living in the regions. Learn more at:
